01 / Try Linux

Choose a console. Try Linux.

Alpine, Arch, and Ubuntu with a terminal,
package manager, Python, Node, Pi, and Codex.

First start streams part of the disk. Availability and saved state are checked on this site; saved sessions are validated when opened.

Suspend and resume

Save a running console to disk and resume a compatible session. Manage each machine from its logo menu.

Connect your AI

Pi and AI Chat use your selected browser provider. Choose local WebGPU or a remote service; remote providers receive the prompts and tool results you send.

Keep a backup

Download files, export a file snapshot, or sync a host folder. Runtime state and Codex credential folders are excluded from snapshots and folder sync.

Files opens the shared browser drive at Linux ~/ACMEDISK. Linux ~ belongs to that machine’s system disk.

Each machine’s Linux home and system disk stay separate. Files at ~/ACMEDISK are shared across machines and survive Reset image. Clearing site data can remove saved machines, files, and browser keys.

Technical specifications
ProcessorACMEx86 emulates one x86-64 CPU in WebAssembly. Translated hot loops and emulated cryptographic instructions speed up supported workloads; performance still depends on the guest program and your device.
Linux kernelConsole builds use upstream Linux source with a configuration for the virtual hardware, compiled for x86-64. The experimental desktop adds a scoped virtual-input patch.
Memory512 MiB, or 1 GiB on desktops with 8 GB or more. Kernel Linux 6.12 with virtio block, network, 9p and RNG built in.
StorageImmutable root images streamed in 1 MiB ranges with a per-browser sparse overlay in the Origin Private File System; machine state checkpoints of 4 KiB pages; your files on a browser drive mounted at ~/ACMEDISK.
Networkvirtio-net through ACMEproxy, your own compatible WISP v1 relay, or Tailscale. The site relay supports TCP and UDP with private ranges blocked; guest port previews return to the browser.
AI servicePi and AI Chat use browser-local WebGPU models or a remote provider, with browser provider keys kept outside Linux. Codex uses its own guest-side provider configuration and authentication, including support for OpenRouter. Omarchy Pi is limited to OpenRouter free.
IsolationCross-origin isolation enables shared memory. VM state lives in browser storage. ACMEproxy carries outbound traffic; the image gateway streams approved base disks. Project previews are sandboxed; Linux web previews currently display HTML/CSS with scripts disabled.

03 / Experimental GPU desktop

Omarchy Quattro brings Hyprland, Quickshell,
and graphical terminals to the browser.

Browser GPU graphics

An experimental GLES bridge renders through WebGL2 and presents through WebGPU. This is a compact Omarchy session.

Persistent files

The desktop has its own saved system disk and Linux home, with shared browser files at ~/ACMEDISK. Stop saves changes; Start boots again.

Still experimental

Display recovery, sustained responsiveness, live Pi authentication, and the full desktop session remain open. Pi currently uses OpenRouter free only.

Desktop Chrome required. Startup takes minutes; suspend and display resizing are not available. Android 17 development remains paused.
